This is the question that was presented to me today while I moved around the house to complete today's chores. Many of us casually move about in our day meeting the demands of life, conquering daily challenges and conflicts, and pondering tomorrow's conquest, without carefully considering our present state of life and the weight of today. If God said, "This is it. These are your final moments here on earth." Would you be ready?
Take a minute and really think about that, because the truth is everyone isn't going to heaven. Moreover, everyone won't walk those streets paved with gold. The Bible says, "Now the doings (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, impurity, indecency, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar heresies), envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who practice such things SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD (Galatians 5:19-21--Amplified Version).
Now I know this isn't a popular message or a politically correct interpretation of what is allowed in today's culture, but it is truth! And God's truth always trumps philosophical and world views and the next law up for debate. God's Word also says that, "As for cowards and the ignoble and the contemptible and the cravenly lacking in courage and the cowardly submissive, and as for the unbelieving and faithless, and as for the depraved and defiled with abominations, and as for murderers and the lewd and adulterous and the practicers of magic arts and the idolaters (those who give supreme devotion to anyone or anything other than God) and all liars (those who knowingly convey untruth by word or deed)- [all of these shall have] their part in the lake of fire and brimstone. This is the second death." Nothing that defiles or profanes or is unwashed shall ever enter it, nor anyone who commits abominations (unclean, detestable, morally repugnant things) or practices falsehood, but only those who are recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life (Revelation 21:8 & 27).
Those that practice lawlessness, who never received Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior through repentance, and those who have but refuse to opt out of sinful practices all the way, are in danger of the coming wrath of God. (Isaiah 30:33; Matthew 5:22, 7:13-14 & 21-23, 12:33-37, 13:24-42, 24:44-51, 25:1-46, John 3:16-21; Romans 1:18-32, 2:1-11, 8:1-13, Hebrews 10:26-31.) The Word of God admonishes us to, "kill (deaden, deprive of [all] power) the evil desire lurking in your members [those animal impulses and all that is earthly in you that is employed in sin]: sexual vice, impurity, sensual appetites, unholy desires, and all greed and covetousness, for that is idolatry (the deifying of self and other created things instead of God). It is on account of these [very sins] that the [holy] anger of God is ever coming upon the sons [and daughters] of disobedience (those who obstinately are opposed to the divine will [of God]), among whom you also once walked, when you were living in and addicted to [such practices]. But now put away and rid yourselves [completely] of all these: anger, rage, bad feeling toward others, curses and slander, and foulmouthed abuse and shameful utterances from your lips! Do not lie to one another, for you have stripped off the old (unregenerate) self with its evil practices, and have clothed yourselves with the new [spiritual self], which is [ever in the process of being] renewed and remodeled into [fuller and more perfect knowledge upon] knowledge after the image (the likeness) of Him Who created it. ...Clothe yourselves therefore, as God's own chosen ones (His own (hand) picked representatives), [who are purified and holy and well-beloved (by God Himself), by putting on behavior marked by] tenderhearted pity and mercy, kind feeling, a lowly opinion of yourselves, gentle ways [and] patience [which is tireless and long-suffering, and has the power to endure whatever comes with a good temper]. (Colossians 3:1-10 & 12.)
As you can see in Scripture, God has a standard for how we ought to live as Christian's, whether it is in our private time or in public. Every square inch of our lives must be infused with the implanted Word of God. If we want to be with Jesus, in the company of our heavenly Father and the angels, we must comply with His Word and obey His will. We must do so not out of religious duty but out of love and consideration for the One who paid a debt we ourselves were never fit to pay.
No Gray
Today's world and church cultures teach and believe we can live our lives in the gray and still gain eternal life. This belief and teaching is INCORRECT. Those who live in the gray will be spewed (expelled rapidly and forcibly) out of the mouth of God (Revelation 3:14-15). God wills that all people make a decision. Choose you this day whom you will serve, either God or Baal (the devil). (Joshua 24:15; 1Kings 18:21.)
So you see, there is no such place called purgatory or a state of limbo for the dead. There's no reincarnation or dying and that's just it. There is life after death and for many death after death. The Bible says in 2Corinthians 5:10-Amplified Version that, "We must all appear and be revealed as we are before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive [his pay] according to what he (or she) has done in the body, whether good or evil [considering what his purpose and motives have been, and what he (or she) has achieved, been busy with, and given himself (or herself) and his (or her) attention to accomplishing.
Unfortunately, we have veered away from teaching and preaching on the judgment of God after death, and to the misfortune of many, they are not ready to meet Jesus. Even worst, many don't know these dimensions even exist. Are we guilty of moving the ancient landmarks? Have we put more emphasis on this world than the life to come?
I am all for prosperity and good success. I believe these are eternal principles and benefits of the kingdom that should be taught regularly. However, I, also, believe one knowing their eternal fate is as equally as important, and there options should be communicated and the scales weighed.
Don't Die but Live
It is God's will that no man perish, but that all should turn to repentance (2Peter 3:9). I strongly encourage you to read 2Peter 3:1-10 slowly and have a Selah moment of meditation and reflection, asking God to unveil the seriousness of eternal life and eternal destruction and your state of life at the moment. One must choose life over death for his or herself. When you choose life, you choose to reflect Jesus Christ in your everyday life. As He was dead to sin, you, too, must willingly choose to die to sin and destructive habits daily.
God's Just Judgment
Now, I have heard many question the soverignty of God and His judgments. Expressing their frustrations they say things like, "How could a loving God who is good punish people by sending them to hell and eternal fire? Yes, God is all powerful, and as a righteous judge who judges on the basis of His Word, He has every right to punish the wicked. But the truth is God allows eternal destruction to befall those who refuse to repent, believe in Jesus Christ and/or resist the Word of God and the Holy Spirit who reveals it (John 3:16-19, 12:56-48, Hebrews 10:26-31). The truth is, we seal our own fate, rather good or bad. God just makes sure it is carried out.
You might feel a heavy conviction right now. That conviction is apt to turn your heart in the direction of Jesus and out of the way of sin leading to death and tornment. Look, it is not my job nor my conviction to judge you, but it is my conviction to warn you to flee the coming wrath of God and compel you to receive Jesus into your heart. Because when you do, and you decide to truly trust and obey Him, you will have eternal life.
Isn't that Good News? I do believe it is!

APPROACHING SEXUAL INTIMACY GOD'S WAY
After being married almost seventeen years in May, with God's help, I am convinced that God has a right way to approach marriage and sexual intimacy with our spouse. I have been a student of marriage God's way for some time now, and the Holy Spirit gripped my heart about sexual intimacy between a husband and wife (a man and woman married to each other) today in my evening devotion. According to Hebrews 13:4 KJV, marriage is honorable and the bed is [to be and remain] undefiled (uncontaminated; unperverted; morally clean mentally, phyically, emotionally, spiritually, sexually and in one's heart; free from obscene and obscure tendencies, behavior and thoughts; pure; holy; acts deemed pleasing to God).
However, Hebrews 13:4 has been misinterpreted to mean when you are married, you and your spouse can do, say and think whatever you want as long as there is a mutual consent. And that interpretation of this Scripture is WRONG and offends God. We cannot do, say and think whatever we want, when we want to and how we want to do it AND not think God won't allow consequences for our misunderstanding and misinterpretation of the Scriptures. As a result of improper teaching, assumptions, insight, and proclamation of Hebrews 13:4 many marriages, families and relationships suffer, and husbands and wives fail to embrace their sexuality and one another the way God intended from the beginning (Genesis 1:26-28, 2:18-25, 4:1& 25; Malachi 2:15-16).
When we read Hebrews 13:4 Amplified version, what God purposed for marriage and sexual intimacy between a man and a woman is obvious. It reads, LET MARRIAGE BE HELD IN HONOR (esteemed worthy, precious, of great price, and especially dear) IN ALL THINGS. AND THUS LET THE MARRIAGE BED BE UNDEFILED (kept undishonored); FOR GOD WILL JUDGE AND PUNISH THE UNCHASTE [all guilty of sexual vice] AND ADULTEROUS.
I am telling you the truth. A lot of the things we okay in the bedroom is grieving the Holy Spirit and infuriating the one true God that made sexual intimacy between a husband and a wife. God did not create sexual intimacy between a husbad and wife for gratification alone, but for preserving sanctification of a holy covenant in marriage and the reproducing of godly children in the earth. Many of the acts we have performed or perform on or with our spouse, unfortunately, have been influenced by our past sexual encounters with others, society, today's culture, family members, friends and peers. We have engrafted and have practiced or are practicing immoral, paganistic, and unchaste acts in our marriages.
Many of us are guilty and have been guilty of bringing others into our bedrooms through:
.Pornographic images of people, places and things.
.Lust filled conversations, body language and impressions on the mind and heart.
.Memories of past relationships with other people.
.Temptation.
.Undealt with mindsets and practices.
.The lust of the eye and the lust of the flesh.
.Sexual sins committed, but not yet repented of.
Look! I am not here to condemn anyone, because I, too, have been guilty of this sin. However, what I must do is shine the light on the obscurity hiding out and destroying our marriages, families, finances, relationships, God's vision for marriage and the family, our sexuality and purpose. God has a right way to approach our sexuality, our spouse and sexual intimacy in marriage and it isn't through the world's eye or through a politically correct view. Amen.
As Christian's, especially as Christian's, we are to approach marriage from God's perspective, through His Word and the inner conviction of the Holy Spirit. (We know when what we are doing or thinking or even saying isn't right, because our conscience tells us, but many ignore the right thing to do in order to fulfill the lust within them.) The key to healthy, godly sex is to ask and seek God for godly ways to approach sexual imtimacy in the bedroom with our spouse. He will show us and teach us indestructible ways to enjoy our spouse and sexual intimacy with them.
Intimacy in the bedroom is a time to connect hearts and spirits not just body parts. As you do, something supernatural happens that connects your lives, your hearts; locking you both into God's plan for your marriage.
I myself have been delivered from sexual sins in the bedroom. So, I am not telling you what I don't know to be true. Once you are delivered from these demonic sexual vices, keep the Word of God in sight and fill your heart and sexual organs with it through your personal prayer and devotional time with the Holy Spirit (Psalm 119:11). Cut people, places and things off that have opened up the door of your life to these promiscuous acts of infedelity and immorality (2Corinthians 6:14-18).
Pray and fast often (Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 6:12 and chapters 21:36, 22:45-46). Submit to God. Resist the devil and then he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you (James 4:7-8).
Put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh (Romans 13:12-14). Apply the Word of God daily to every area of your life (Joshua 1:8). Confess your sins and be forgiven and be healed (Psalm 51; James 5:16; 1John 1:9). Claim your eyes only for your spouse (Job 31:1). Acknowledge and claim your body for the Lord's use not sins use ( Romans 6; 1Corinthians 6:12-20).
For those married and desiring to be married, ask God to bring your marriage under the divine jurisdiction of justification and sanctification. Yes, we must ask God to sanctify and beautify our marriages by His saving grace. This closes the door to Satan and demonic spirits of perversion from having access to our sexuality, marriages, children, or generations through people, places and things. Don't half step with your marriage. Love and truly like and honor your spouse and the covenant you made with them.
Being married isn't always easy, but IT IS SO WORTH IT!!! It takes mutual respect, humility, patience, prayer for one another and yourself to work out the kinks and through the glitches. I am a witness that you can enjoy your marriage, your spouse and the journey God's way and be fulfilled. Why? Because at the end of the day, GOD is at the core.
Isn't that Good News? Absolutely!

LIVING THE RESURRECTED LIFE
Loose Them and Let Them Go
Living a resurrected life means the thing that killed you cannot hold you. When Jesus called Lazarus, the opinions and the perspective of others, the grave, death nor his bindings could keep Him down and bind Him to a dead situation. Let me ask you, what manner of things are keeping you down and binding you to a dead situation? Is it your job, your relationships, bad stewardship, your behavior or attitude, your perspective, unforgiveness or your inability to break free from your past?
The thing that stands out to me about Lazarus situation is HE WAS DEAD! Therefore, Lazarus had no consciousness of his death or his captivity to death. I do believe that we can be so overtaken by a matter or a thing that we lose all consciousness and feeling of our condition. Often times, it takes others to point it out to us.
Maybe, as a result of perhaps some kind of traumatic occurrence, we undoubtedly become numb to our present state of life. For Lazarus it was sickness. What has lead to your death and captivity? Take a minute and think about that.
Lazarus was in a stinch. He had been dead for four days. Moreover, by this time, his body was beginning to decay and letting off an awful odor. If Jesus was going to do something miraculous, why didn't He do it when He first heard Lazarus was sick or in the event of his death?
Ur...stop the funeral procession.
Four days later...Jesus shows up. "Take away the stone," Jesus said. "Master, please! He's been dead for four days now. By this time, he is decaying and throws off an offensive odor," Martha, Lazuras sister, exclaimed!
Did I not tell you and promise you that if you would believe and rely on Me, you would, [this day] behold the glory of God? Jesus lifted up His eyes and gave thanks to the Father. Then with a loud voice He shouted, "Lazaurus, come out!"
And out walked the man who had been dead for four days, with his funeral attire on. Jesus said, "Loose him and let him go." (John 11:44-49.)
Now to be quite honest, when Jesus said, "Loose him and let him go." I don't believe he was just talking to the palbearers. I believe Jesus commanded death to let Lazarus go. Jesus commanded Lazarus be loosed from the bondage of death. Death no longer had jursidiction over a man brought back to life. Glory to God!
Another thing that stands out to me is, Jesus used people to loose Lazarus from his bindings. And in many instances, God will use people to deliver us from bondage. HE (being the Greater one) quickens us through His spoken word, and then uses the hands of HIS vessel(s) to deliver us from the captivity of death. Isn't that good?
Returning Back to a Hostile Environment
But did you know that Jesus had to return back to a hostile environment to raise Lazarus from the dead? Yes, He did indeed. In Judea, the Jews intended to stone Him (John 11:7-8). Jesus left Judea to escape death, but the death of a dear friend brought Him back.
This truly blessed me. This taught me that when we are in a dead state of existence, hostile people nor environments, cruel intentions nor death threats can keep Jesus from us. Are you in a dead state? I tell you, LOOK TO JESUS. He will come to help you.
This also taught me that if Jesus was able to perform miracles in hostile environments, then so should we. Jesus always went where there was a need. The will of the Father always trumped the ignorance and jealousy of mere man. DON'T LET FEAR KEEP YOU FROM THE MIRACLE.
Resurrected for Purpose
Not only does God resurrect us to demonstrate the power and the glory of God, but also for the advancement of the kingdom through sanctification. When we are raised from spiritual death, we know we live unto God and not the flesh. Moreover, when we are resurrected to new life in Christ Jesus, He gathers us, as an exceeding great army and the Bible says:

- He fills us with the Holy Ghost [Spirit] and life.
- He brings us out of bondage into a place of freedom.
- We receive an inheritance.
- We are unified in His hand, under His Kingship.
- We opt out of idolatry and sin.
- We are made clean.
- We receive the covenant of peace.
- We bear the blessing of God.
- We are set apart for obedience and service unto Him and His purpose.
Now understand this one thing, PURPOSE IS NOT FOUND. PURPOSE IS GIVEN FROM GOD the FATHER.
Many are in search of purpose, but outside of Christ what they find is a counterfeit of what God intended. Listen to me. YOU CANNOT NOR WILL YOU EVER FIND PURPOSE OUTSIDE OF GOD. People have made the mistake of calling their chour their assignment. My God, that's a different message for another day.
If we look closely at Ezekiel 37, we will see that God was in control all along of the making process. There are 15 times throughout Ezekiel 37 where God shows forth His soverignty and divinity in the making of His people by declaring, "I will or I the Lord". So this let's us know that we cannot make a prototype of what God purposed. The things we make are just artificial clones of the original make. DON'T SETTLE FOR BEING A CLONE. BE ORIGINAL. LET GOD MAKE YOU.
Beloved of God, come out of your graves and live. The Bible said, after Jesus cried with a loud voice, "Lazaurus, come out!" Lazarus walked out alive. In order to be set free, when God calls you, you have to come out and stay out of death's way. Amen.
The Good News is there is life after death. There is freedom after being bound. There is hope after suffering the effects of hopelessness. And guess what, the miracle that God is getting ready to perform in your life will lead others to believe in Jesus. Glory to God!
Isn't that Good News? Good News indeed!

HEALING THE ORPHAN HEART
The Orphan Heart
The divine counsel of the Lord is purposed to heal and make whole the orphan heart.
Q. So what is divine counsel?
A. Divine counsel is the release of godly wisdom, advice, opinion or instructions from a giver to the recipient, given for directing the judgment or conduct of another. Divine counsel is also the divine purpose, design, will, or plan of God for one's life. Divine counsel is to exhort, warn, admonish or instruct someone in the paths and ways of God.
Q. So then, what is the orphan heart?
A. The orphan heart is the life source from which one battles thoughts and feelings of emotionally feeling unloved, abandoned, rejected, unprotected, misidentified and vulnerable to circumstances and situations that are unfavorable that produce misfortune.
Someone say, "It's a battle of the mind and one's emotions." The mind is the inner or spiritual chamber where thoughts are either given life or put to death. The inner workings or attitude of one's mind can promote or prevent us from getting to our point of destination of healing and wholeness from wounds and the brokenness of our past. The thoughts of one's mind can either bring life or death, healing or harm, purpose or deviation from one's purpose.
In order to win the war that rages on in the mind, we have to seek the divine counsel of the Word of God and refute arguments and theories and reasoning and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One), being in readiness to punish every [insubordinate for his] disobedience, when your own submission and obedience [as a church] are fully secured and complete (2Corinthians 10:5-6--Amplified Version).
Your thoughts and emotions impact your heart and visa versa. As blood travels to and from the heart to the brain and from the brain to the heart, so it is true concerning the issues that are harbored and stored within our hearts and the thoughts and emotions that are harbored and stored in our minds. These when they meet are combustible and when they collide (issues, thoughts and emotions) they cause a chain reaction of events to occur. The Bible sternly instructs us to diligently guard [keep, secure, protect] our hearts [our life source of existence, determining who and what we become] for out of it flows the very issues of our lives (Proverbs 4:23-emphasis mine).
Have you ever heard someone say, "What happened to them?" The happening will always point to the root cause or trauma causing one's imbalance, instability, intolerance and/or inconsistencies. However, there's Good News, no matter the depth of what happened to us, ONE ENCOUNTER WITH GOD CAN RESURRECT THE ORPHAN HEART. I am truly a witness to this account. Glory to God!
The Healing Power of Jesus
The Healer's in town. Come see the God Man that still heals and mends orphan hearts. Jesus is the Healer and His vocation involves healing the broken, the rejected, the overlooked, the misidentified, the unidentified (wow...My God!!!), the disturbed and those who are bitter, bruised and badgered from the war within. Circumstances and situations beyond your control made you like this, but Jesus can still heal you. He can reach way down and heal the cause and the effect of your trauma, dysfunction and deformities.
You don't have to remain the way you are. YOU CAN BE HEALED AND DELIVERED from the fractures on your mind and the damage in your heart. Call out to the healer. "Jesus save me!"
The Bible speaks of a man who was full of leprosy who beheld Jesus, and this man fell on his face and implored Jesus, saying, "Lord, if you are willing, YOU can make me clean." Then JESUS PUT OUT HIS HAND AND TOUCHED HIM, saying, "I AM WILLING; be cleansed." Immediately the leprosy left him (Luke 4:12-13)." It is "I AM" who wills your healing and deliverance. GOD WANTS YOU WHOLE!!!
When I AM steps into the situation, with divine counsel, the afflicted who's feeling less than, not good enough, not wanted, and I AM touches them, immediate healing and deliverance from the affliction and the cause happens. A greater more fortunate happening takes the place of the lesser conflicting, afflicting happening. So the new happening cancels out the old happening. The happening of greater value trumps the happening of lesser value. My God!
So, what happened? Jesus healed us and made us whole. What happened? He set us free from our orphan heart syndrome!!! Yes!
Why Have You Forsaken Me???
Did you know that Jesus felt abandoned, alone, and forsaken? Yes, He did! Just like we do or have. We do not have a High Priest who can relate to our infirmities and the afflictions of our hearts. The Bible says, "So it is evident that it was essential that HE be made like HIS brethren in every respect, in order that HE might become a merciful (sympathetic) and faithful High Priest in the things related to GOD, to make atonement and propitiation for the people's sins. For because HE HIMSELF [in HIS humanity] has suffered in being tempted (tested and tried), HE is able [immediately] to run to the cry of (assist, relieve) those who are being tempted and tested and tried [and who therefore are being exposed to suffering] (Hebrews 2:17-18--Amplified Version)."
Jesus felt all alone when He went to Golgotha. His mother Mary could not help Him. The disciple He loved, John, could not help Him. His disciples ran in fear, and God the Father stood still with all of heaven and watched as Jesus fulfilled the greatest task known to man. And in doing so, JESUS felt forsaken.
But in His state of orphan HE cried, "IT IS FINISHED." Jesus, despite feeling alone, and well...being alone, fulfilled the Father's will. And I tell you, you too, can fulfill the Father's will for your life, even going through times of feeling and being alone.
Isn't that Good News? Absolutely! Go tell someone, spread the word, THE HEALER IS HERE! Amen.
